Driver’s
License
Upon presentation
of a valid driver’s
license from your
country of residence,
each driver must purchase
a Cayman Islands visitors
driving permit at a cost
of US$7.50 and is valid
for the duration of your
stay.
Driving on Grand Cayman
Remember, you must drive on the left-hand side of the road throughout the
Cayman Islands. The law also requires mandatory wearing of seat belts.
Required Age for Rental
The minimum age required to rent a vehicle is 25.
Forms of Payment Accepted
A major credit card is required for a deposit on the vehicle. Payments
can be made via: Visa, Mastercard, American Express or cash.
Gas Charges
At the end of the rental period the vehicle must be returned with the same
amount of fuel as when it was originally rented or fuel charges will apply.
Additional Drivers
Additional drivers must meet the same requirements as the primary driver.
For each additional driver there is a US$4 a day fee. Each driver will need
to purchase a Visitors driving permit for US$7.50.
Child or Infant Seats
Child or Infant seats are available at a cost of US $8.00 per day.
